The Green Building Unit at Bitar

Project Managers and as part of its Social
Responsibility Initiative for 2012 held a workshop at the International Independent School on November 14 2012 entitled: What makes a building GREEN??
The students were introduced to green building strategies and concepts
that will produce healthy, environmentally responsible and resource efficient
buildings. These buildings are consuming less energy, water, construction
material; located on sustainable sites, provide healthy indoors. The goal is to
have happier people and healthier planet and better economy.
The workshop was very interactive with hands on experiments, games, lots
of colors and prizes, the students enjoyed their time as well as filled it with
useful new information that will hopefully help them select a future career
that will support the green movement and support a sustainable, environmentally
responsible living.
