IIS was first accredited in 2008/2009 and then re-accredited more than once by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a division of Cognia, formerly AdvancED. The final reaccreditation was in December 2019.

Cognia is a non-profit organization that engages schools in a Journey of Improvement to prepare all students for success as they move from the comfort of their homes to school and then to higher education and/or careers.

Our accreditation certifies that we have met Cognia’s high standards for quality and success and that all the processes conducted in our school meet the American International Standards. It also enables our students to sit for SAT and ACT exams in order to get their American High School Diploma (AHSD).

This accreditation ensures that our school is following accepted, research based practices for teaching and learning, thus qualifying our graduates for admission to universities both in Jordan and world-wide.

As a school accredited by Cognia, we focus on raising student achievement, providing a safe and enriching learning environment, and maintaining efficient and effective operations staffed by highly qualified educators. Our high standards ensure that our students will be able to succeed in any other Cognia- accredited school worldwide in case they decide to leave Jordan at any time.
